From August 28TH 的 to 30TH 的, IURC Latin America participated in the second edition of the International Summit of Habitat for Latin America and the Caribbean (CIHALC 2023).

The programme brought together a delegation of 23 high-level municipal and regional officers from 8 different countries. In addition, the IURC programme participated jointly with the Global Covenant of Mayor for the Americas (GCoM) in a panel to discuss about European Union cooperation and climate change. It featured the participation of the Mayor of Tópaga (Colombia), the Vice-Mayor of Oreamuo (Costa Rica), the Mayor of Palora (Ecuador), and the Chief of Urban Planning of Puerto Montt (Chile).
